One of the advantages of aluminium is that it is a good substrate for print.

Panels, facias, labels and other components can be attractively finished in one of our wide range of colours, and then printed with your logo or legends. Our print shop has established a reputation for fine quality printing in both Epoxy Screen Print and Anomark Anodic Print.

Epoxy screen printing

The most common method of printing letters and legends onto the surface of an aluminium substrate is screen printing using epoxy or other types of ink.

We are also able to offer special formulation colours to suit your requirement.

The introduction of 'ATMA' semi-automatic machines to our established hand bench print facility, enables us to offer competitive pricing on medium to large batch epoxy screen print runs.

A one-to-one photo positive, emulsion up, is required to produce the necessary screen. We can provide the film from your free issue artwork if you so wish.

ANOMARK Anodic Print

The anodic oxide coating produced by anodising is able to absorb inks and pigments during processing. ANOMARK anodic printing is a technique that uses this ability to produce indelible printing. ANOMARK printing is available in a wide range of colours and multicolours on one workpiece and offers a very attractive appearance.

Why not consider the ANOMARK option when you need to badge your product? Remember that anodic print is indelible
Your name (or vital instructions) will not come off the component.

Subliminal print is an interesting ink development which gives very subtle, almost translucent legends. It is therefore ideal for delineating areas or symbols which are not intended to be bold statements themselves and will therefore detract from the main panel legends.

As the name implies, pad printing is an offset process using a flexible pad for image transfer to the substrate. An appropriate pad shape and hardness is required for the workpiece in question, such that it will conform to the irregularities of the surface. It is, therefore, possible to print onto non-planar surfaces, such as convex or concave shapes etc. Given appropriate care in the plate manufacture and the choice of pad, print quality approaches that of conventional screen print. Print area is limited by the ink cup size, which is presently 65mm diameter at Alpha.

Cameo anoprint provides raised anodic legends, chemically brightened if required, on a relieved background. The legends are available in a range of colours, and it is usual but not essential, for the background to be matt natural anodised. This gives an interesting contrast in both texture and tone. As the product is anodised all over it has good durability.
